Head coach Marco Sturm said Monday that Lindholm is dealing with an undisclosed injury that will force him to miss time, Scott McLaughlin of WEEI reports.
Lindholm notched three assists in Tuesday's 5-4 loss to the Red Wings.
The Swedish defenseman has an excellent combination of size and skating ability, making him both a shutdown defenseman as well as someone who can contribute offensively. Plays in all situations and averages more than 20 minutes per game, year after year, though injuries have been an occasional problem. Is not a physical presence in his own zone but will block a ton of shots.
Long Range Potential: Outstanding, all-around minute-munching defenseman (when healthy).
